Personal Background & Early Life

Prince Gowon Eneche, popularly recognized by his political moniker G1 (or G-One), was born over three decades ago in Imane, located within the Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State. He comes from a prominent lineage as the son of Mr. and Mrs. Yusuf Mai-Photo Enenche. His roots connect deeply across the constituency, drawing paternal heritage from Imane and maternal ties from Angwa Ankpa.

Educational Journey

• Early & Primary Education: He commenced his early upbringing with Islamic studies in Kano before returning to Kogi State to attend Imane Central School for his primary education.

• Secondary Education: He pursued his secondary school education at Saint Charles College in Ankpa and later completed it at Imane Community Grammar School (ICGS).

• Higher Education: Driven by an early passion for governance, public policy, and leadership, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Kogi State University. During his university years, he was highly active in student unionism, organizational development, and student leadership initiatives.

Corporate Experience & Business Enterprise

Following the completion of his mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, Eneche built a multi-sector career spanning corporate finance and private enterprise:

• Banking Sector: He began his professional path in the financial services industry, serving as a corporate banker at Bank PHB and subsequently at Fortis Microfinance Bank, where he specialized in financial management and strategic investment frameworks.

• G1 Group of Companies: Moving into private enterprise, he established the G1 Group of Companies, a diverse business conglomerate where he serves as the Chairman. His business portfolio cuts across real estate development, automobile trading, livestock management, and mining operations.

• G-One Luxury Homes: Within the real estate space, he serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of G-One Luxury Homes, a premium residential property firm.

Philanthropy & Community Development

Long before declaring his legislative ambitions, Eneche established a significant grassroots footprint across Kogi East through targeted structural philanthropy:

• Education: He fully funded the infrastructural remodeling and fencing of Imane Community Grammar School (ICGS) and consistently sponsors West African Examinations Council (WAEC) registration fees for indigent students.

• Healthcare: He constructed an ultramodern community hospital to increase health accessibility for rural populations.

• Security Infrastructure: To strengthen localized security operations, he constructed a modern operational office for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

• Youth & Women Empowerment: He founded a dedicated Skill Acquisition Centre in Okpo to provide vocational training for youth and women. Through initiatives like the Life Seed Ultimate ICT and Career Development Summer Bootcamp, he has targeted hundreds of youths for advanced digital literacy and software training.

• Social Safety Nets: He regularly provides structured financial support, food security relief materials, and direct economic interventions to widows and vulnerable families across Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro.

Legislative Agenda & Political Movement

Running under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Eneche’s bid for the Green Chamber is built upon a cross-party youth and grassroots coalition called the G-1 Movement. His political framework centers on shifting from traditional political patronage to measurable, transparent representation. His strategic pillars for the constituency focus heavily on:

1. Economic Empowerment: Providing micro-grants and structured funding to scale indigenous small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

2. Digital Literacy: Spearheading tech training hubs and infrastructure to incorporate youth into the digital economy.

3. Agrarian Infrastructure: Modernizing agricultural value chains and supporting local farmers via processing aggregators.

4. Grassroots Advocacy: Bringing strong federal presence and infrastructure directly to the wards of Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro.

In recognition of his consistent community building, he serves as the Patron of the Arewa Grassroots Leaders Assembly (AGLA).
